What Untangle is

Untangle is an AI-powered decision-clarity tool. You describe a decision you're facing, and the tool gives you one clear move—in 8 minutes or less. No account required.

What we collect

  • The decision or situation you type during a session
  • Your response to a follow-up clarifying question, if one is shown (this helps us understand your situation better before generating your Clarity Card)
  • Your email address, if you choose to provide it after receiving your Clarity Card
  • Your feedback response (e.g., end signal clicks, painted door interactions)
  • Basic session metadata (device type, referral source, timestamps)

How we use it

  • Your session data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your Clarity Card. If you request a revised card (via the personalization feature), your input is processed again to generate an updated version. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training.
  • If you provide an email, we use Resend to send a single follow-up message 5 days later, asking whether you took the move. That's it—no marketing lists, no drip campaigns.
  • We review aggregate, anonymized metrics (completion rates, feedback signals) to improve the tool.

How we store it

Session data is stored anonymously in a Supabase database using a random session ID — there is no account, no login, and no way to trace a session back to you. Session data is automatically deleted after 30 days. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. We do not run analytics trackers or advertising pixels.

Your choices

  • You can use Untangle without providing an email.
  • Sessions are rate-limited to prevent abuse (a small number of sessions per hour).
  • To request deletion of your data, email omkarpkh@gmail.com.

Crisis detection

Untangle includes automated screening for crisis signals (e.g., self-harm, suicidal ideation). When detected, your input is not processed further — you are redirected to professional crisis resources. No clarity card is generated for flagged sessions. This screening is best-effort and should not be relied upon as a safety mechanism.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above. For a tool this simple, we don't expect it to change often.
